What would you like to do on Targ Węglowy? What should be available there? What kinds of events should take place on Targ Węglowy? These are just few of the questions that are part of the advisory poll prepared by City Culture Institute as the result of the citizen workshops. The poll will be open from February 17^th   to March 6^th, both on-line  here and off-line in CCI, City Office,  libraries and various facilities near Targ Węglowy and the Old Town.

In August 2013 CCI invited everyone to relax in the temporary arrangement of Targ Węglowy. It was the first time when we asked the citizens what are their opinions and ideas for this very space. Their voices were the beginning of the few months project. We have invited the citizens, the experts, city authorities and everyone interested in this space to cooperate with us.

The poll is the next step in the consulting process and was created on the basis of the ideas that came up during the workshops organized by City Culture Institute and Social Research Centre “Stocznia”.

 – During the meetings, together with the citizens, we discussed how Targ Węglowy could function, what could be going on there and what kind of place it could be for the city and its citizens. We spent past few months conducting the research on the Targ Węglowy – to observe how people use this place and how they move around there  – says Natalia Brylowska of Obserwatorium Kultury from the CCI.

The poll will allow us to get advice on our ideas and complete the knowledge of the role of this special place in the city life.

– We want to create the concept that will influence the decisions of the Targ Węglowy’s future,  together – adds Brylowska.

The report on the poll will be presented during the meeting that will sum up the consultation proces on March 18th, 5.00 PM in the City Culture Institute.
