What if… Arranging space at the Coal Market (Targ Węglowy)

We know who will arrange space at the Coal Market (Targ Węglowy)! They are young and full of energy. They constantly ask themselves the same question ‚what if…?’. What if there was grass at the Coal Market (Targ Węglowy)?

The architects of the ‚Gdyby’ group were the creators of the space arrangement of the Square: Ewa Kierklo, Monika Przychodzeń, Stanisław Kempa, and  Mateusz Szymański. They are mainly interested in designing functional forms and public spaces. As they say by themselves: ‚We want every form  we create to be minimal, fresh, and innovative. We deal with theaters combining architecture, public space, and design.’

They will design green ‚zones’ with real grass and light movable cubic forms to be arranged freely as toy blocks. They will also serve as plant pots, book shelves, and sitting spots.

This Sunday, 25 August, new arrangement of the Square will be installed.
